Wonder Goblin will be at Wonder Festival in Japan! My new officially licensed design for Hedorah is going to be at the STRANGE GALLERY booth number 4-18-12. They will be selling them for ¥18,500 (roughly $135 each). If you scroll down to the slide show, you'll see the first sculpt I did of Hedorah that was actually rejected by Toho. After we took off some of her more experimental elements and gave her the more classic features, they found her satisfactory. There was a lot of back and forth, and Strange Gallery worked hard on producing the final result in time, but they managed to get it done just in time for this summer’s Wonder Festival opening day, July 24th, which happens to be my birthday! And did you know that the film “Godzilla vs. Hedorah” was originally released in 1971 also on July 24th?! Woohoo, we’re birthday twins!
