2024 LUCKY BAGS!

Hello friends! Tomorrow 1/27/24 at the usual 12 Noon Eastern time, I'll have Lucky Bags up for pre-order in the shop! This is my first year taking part in the fun Japanese tradition of releasing my own lucky bag, mostly because I feel like I finally have enough original sofubi in my stable to create a worthwhile grab bag for a good deal. I hope you like what I've put together. Here's what you can expect - 5 to 6 toys in each bag for $100 + shipping. Some of them are assembled blanks, some of them DIY kits, and each bag will get at least one painted toy. The painted toys might be a one-off or they might be part of a run, who can say?! You might get something from the above picture, or you might get something completely different! Comes in a purple stenciled sack. I should be able to start shipping these first week of February.

If you ordered something from my last "Polar Pink" drop and would like to save on shipping, just order the Lucky Bag online like normal, and then shoot me an email telling me you'd like me to combine shipping for you. I can then refund you for the shipping difference.

ARCHON Halloween Release

Archon Sun returns for the 2nd official release this spooky season, and in glow-in-the-dark vinyl! Official collaboration with artist Jesse Moynihan! We’re doing something different this time by offering early access this Saturday to Wonder Goblin newsletter subscribers. If you’re not already signed up, make sure to go to the contact form here - https://www.wondergoblin.com/contact - and sign up before this Saturday the 28th. Subscribers will receive an email containing a password protected link to the secret shop Saturday morning (check your spam folders if you don’t get it by 12 Noon Eastern).

What’s left of Archon Sun will become available to the public via lottery on Monday the 30th. Check our home page for the lottery form link at 9 pm ET / 6 pm PST. The lottery will run for 24 hours, and the winner will be announced on Instagram Halloween night. Winner must make payment within 24 hours of receiving the private shop link. The soft vinyl figure stands 8 inches tall with 6 points of articulation. Painted by Mr. Goblin with Vinyl Wonder paints. Limited to only 20 pieces. $90 plus shipping.

OFFICIALLY LICENSED HEDORAH

Wonder Goblin will be at Wonder Festival in Japan! My new officially licensed design for Hedorah is going to be at the STRANGE GALLERY booth number 4-18-12. They will be selling them for ¥18,500 (roughly $135 each). If you scroll down to the slide show, you'll see the first sculpt I did of Hedorah that was actually rejected by Toho. After we took off some of her more experimental elements and gave her the more classic features, they found her satisfactory. There was a lot of back and forth, and Strange Gallery worked hard on producing the final result in time, but they managed to get it done just in time for this summer’s Wonder Festival opening day, July 24th, which happens to be my birthday! And did you know that the film “Godzilla vs. Hedorah” was originally released in 1971 also on July 24th?! Woohoo, we’re birthday twins!

SUMMERTIME FUN

Three weeks into summer and I'm ready for Fall please! Just kidding. Even though Georgia summers are notoriously hot and humid, they can also be quite beautiful. Green things are growing. Animals are singing. And best of all, stray cats like to show up around the studio this time of year, and it's always nice making new friends. I could do without the mosquitos and ticks though. Ah well, you gotta take the bad with the good!

Anyhow, enough of me going on about summers in the south. We've got toys toys toys, and it's all completely random! I've been going with the flow lately, just painting what comes my way and dropping things in the shop at random dates and times. Sometimes it's a one-off or maybe a blind micro-run and perhaps a fun collab thrown in the mix. I think I'm probably going to continue doing that for the rest of the month, because... well, it's fun and simple and it's hot and I'm lazy.

So there you have it, and consider this your heads up - one day you might see something fun in the shop, and the next it might be gone. I might post something about it on instagram, or maybe I won't because social media can be hard to keep up with. Regardless, I'll try to always make sure there's at least something new here to tickle your fancy, at least for the rest of this month. So stop on by whenever you get the hankering to, and I'll try to make sure you're never disappointed!

They come bagged and tagged with header. Edition of 20.
